Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2004 Oldsmobile Bravada, 2004 GMC Envoy XUV, 2004 GMC Envoy XL, 2004 GMC Envoy, and 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

  1. If replacing the body to fender seal, position the seal to the vehicle.
  2. Ensure that the integral clips (1) on the seal are seated into the fender bracket (2).

  4. Position the fender to the vehicle.
  5. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  6. Install the bolts that retain the fender to the vehicle.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  8. Install the hood bumper to the vehicle.
  9. Install the rocker panel molding. Refer to Molding Replacement - Rocker Panel (TrailBlazer EXT, Envoy XL) or Molding Replacement - Rocker Panel (TrailBlazer, Envoy, Bravada) in Exterior Trim.
  10. Install the wheelhouse panel. Refer to Wheelhouse Panel Replacement  .
  11. Install the assist step, if applicable. Refer to Assist Step Replacement in Frame and Underbody.
  12. Remove the protective tape.
