Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2004 Oldsmobile Bravada, 2004 GMC Envoy XUV, 2004 GMC Envoy XL, 2004 GMC Envoy, and 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

  1. Install the module to the liftgate.
  2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the bolts that retain the module to the liftgate.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  4. Connect the electrical connectors (3) as necessary.
  5. Install the liftgate trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Liftgate (TrailBlazer, Envoy, Bravada)  or Trim Panel Replacement - Liftgate (TrailBlazer EXT, Envoy XL) .
  6. Install the liftgate window garnish molding. Refer to Garnish Molding Replacement - Rear Window in Interior Trim.
  7. Reprogram the liftgate control module. Refer to Liftgate Control Module Programming .
