Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Chevrolet Monte Carlo and 2004 Chevrolet Impala. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the I/P module (1) to the cross-car beam (2).
  2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the I/P module mounting fasteners (3).

    Tighten:  Tighten fasteners to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  4. Fig 1: Installing I/P Module

  5. Connect the yellow 2-way wiring harness connector to the I/P module.

  7. Install the CPA to the wiring harness connector.
  8. Install the I/P upper trim pad. Refer to Trim Pad Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Upper (Impala) or Trim Pad Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Upper (Monte Carlo) in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  9. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 5 .
