Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Position the backplate on the headliner of the vehicle.
  2. Install the wire harness into the clips on the backplate.
  3. Install the headliner. Refer to Headliner Replacement  .
  4. Position the overhead console housing by the headliner.
  5. If equipped, install the electrical connector to the sun roof switch (1).

  7. Install the lamps.

  9. Install the off/on switches (1).

  11. Press the console up to engage to rear retainers (2).

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  13. Install the overhead console screws.

    Tighten:  Tighten the overhead console screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

  14. Press the right lens into the retaining rod and press up to engage the outer clip.

    Use the same procedure to install the left lamp lens.
