Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2004 Oldsmobile Bravada, 2004 GMC Envoy XUV, 2004 GMC Envoy XL, 2004 GMC Envoy, and 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install a stationary window into the opening. Refer to Urethane Adhesive Installation of Stationary Windows .

  2. Install the windshield side reveal moldings.

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the windshield side reveal moldings screws.

    Tighten:  Tighten the windshield side reveal moldings screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

  4. Reposition the front door sealing weatherstrips (1) to the pinch-weld flange.

  5. Install the push-pin retainers (2) to the front door sealing weatherstrips located at the base of the windshield pillar.
  6. Install the cowl air inlet grille panel. Refer to Air Inlet Grille Panel Replacement (Envoy, TrailBlazer) or Air Inlet Grille Panel Replacement (Rainier) in Body Front End.
  7. Install the windshield wiper arms. Refer to Wiper Arm Replacement in Wipers/Washer Systems.
  8. Install the antenna mast if equipped. Refer to Fixed Antenna Mast Replacement in Entertainment.
  9. Install the rearview mirror. Refer to Rearview Mirror Replacement .
  10. Install the rain sensor. Refer to Windshield Outside Moisture Sensor Replacement in Wipers/Washer Systems.
  11. Close the hood.
  12. Remove the double layer of masking tape around the perimeter of the painted surfaces and the interior trim.
