Accelerator Controls Pedal: Removal

  1. Remove the fasteners at the rear edge of the insulators in order to disengage the fasteners from the closeout lower insulator panel. Push in on the snap tab retainers in order to release the insulator. Disconnect the electrical connectors as necessary. Slide the closeout lower insulator panel rearward toward the vehicle in order to clear the emergency brake bracket.
  2. Remove the clip from the pedal. Remove the plastic retainer from inside the pedal. Remove the accelerator control cable from the accelerator controls pedal by pulling straight out and up towards the top of the accelerator controls pedal. See Figure. Remove the accelerator controls pedal from the brake and accelerator controls pedal assembly.
