Scan Tool Data Definitions

Hood Ajar Switch: Displays the current status of the hood ajar switch.
Passenger / Driver Door Status: Displays the current status of the door.
Theft LED: Displays the commanded state of the theft LED.
Key Read Status: Displays the current key read status.
Slip Ring Enabled: Used to enable or disable the slip ring.
VTD Auto. Learn Timer: The scan tool displays Active/Inactive. The scan tool displays the current state of the VTD Auto. Learn Timer, which must time out three times in order for the relearn procedure to be complete.
VTD Fail Enable: The scan tool displays On/Off. The scan tool displays On when the VTD system has been configured with VTD fail enable.
VTD Fuel Disable: The scan tool displays Yes/No. The scan tool displays Yes when the ECM has received a fuel disable message from the VTD system.
VTD Fuel Disable Until Ign. Off: The scan tool displays Yes/No. The scan tool displays Yes when the ECM has received the fuel disable message from the VTD system. This indicates the ECM will not allow fuel delivery until the ignition is switched off prior to another start attempt.
VTD States: The scan tool displays Standby/Learn First Key/Read Key Code/Valid Key Code/Learn Pending/Learn More Keys/No Coded Key/Invalid Key Code/Relearn Wait/Relearn Off/Read Code Fail Enable/Fail Pending. The scan tool displays the current state of the vehicle theft deterrent (VTD) state.
