Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Chevrolet Monte Carlo and 2004 Chevrolet Impala. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
IMPORTANT: Perform the radio set up procedure for new and reinstalled radios. Refer to Radio Setup .
  1. Remove the instrument panel cluster trim plate. Refer to Trim Plate Bezel Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Cluster (Impala) or Trim Plate Bezel Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Cluster (Monte Carlo) in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  2. Remove the screws from the radio.
  3. Remove the radio from the instrument panel.

  5. Disconnect the instrument panel wiring harness connector and the antenna cable connector from the radio.

  7. Remove the radio from the instrument panel.
