Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Chevrolet Monte Carlo and 2004 Chevrolet Impala. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the engine lift hook.
  2. Install the generator bracket to the engine.
    3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the generator bracket bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).

    4. Fig 1: Installing Generator Bracket

  4. Install the generator. Refer to Generator Replacement (3.4L)  or Generator Replacement (3.8L) .
  5. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure .
