Removal Procedure

IMPORTANT: Use care when handling the coolant sensor. Damage to the sensor will affect proper operation of the fuel control system.
  1. Turn OFF the ignition.
  2. Drain the coolant below the level of the ECT sensor. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System (L36) or Draining and Filling Cooling System (LD8) in Engine Cooling.
  3. Disconnect the sensor electrical connector.

  5. Carefully remove the ECT sensor.
