Installation Procedure

  1. Install the ECM to the ECM rear bracket.
  2. Position the ECM front bracket.
  3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  4. Install the ECM front retaining fasteners.

    Tighten:  Tighten the ECM retaining fasteners to 2.0 N.m (17 lb in).

  6. Connect the electrical connectors to the ECM.

    Tighten:  Tighten the ECM electrical connectors to 8 N.m (70 lb in).

  7. Install the wheelhouse filler panel. Refer to Fender, Insulator, Liner, Brake Caliper Cooling Duct Replacement - Front in Body Front End.
  8. If a new ECM is being installed, program the ECM. Refer to Control Module References in Computer/Integrating Systems.
