Installation Procedure

  1. Install the air cleaner element in the air cleaner assembly.
    2. Fig 1: Air Cleaner Element Components

  2. Position the air cleaner cover on the air cleaner assembly.
    3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the air cleaner retainer screws.

    Tighten:  Tighten the screws to 6 N.m (40 lb in).

  4. Install the air intake duct.
  5. Tighten the two air intake duct clamps
  6. Connect the breather tube to the air intake duct.
  7. Connect the IAT sensor electrical connector.
  8. Connect the mass air flow (MAF) sensor electrical connector.
