Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Replacement

CAUTION: Refer to Brake Fluid Irritant Caution . NOTE: Refer to Brake Fluid Effects on Paint and Electrical Components Notice . Preliminary Procedures Remove the left front wheelhouse liner. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement . Disconnect the electrical connector at the electronic brake control module.
1	Brake Pipe - Master Cylinder Fitting (Qty: 2) NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice . Tip: Cap the brake pipe fittings to prevent fluid loss and contamination. Finger tighten the brake pipe fittings before tightening to the final torque specification. Tighten: 27 N.m (20 lb ft)
2	Brake Pipe Fitting Tip: Cap the brake pipe fitting to prevent fluid loss and contamination. Finger tighten the brake pipe fittings before tightening to the final torque specification. Tighten: 18 N.m (13 lb ft)
3	Brake Pipe Fitting (Qty: 3) Tip: Cap the brake pipe fitting to prevent fluid loss and contamination. Finger tighten the brake pipe fittings before tightening to the final torque specification. Tighten: 18 N.m (13 lb ft)
4	Brake Pressure Modulator Valve (BPMV) to Bracket Bolt Tighten: 10 N.m (89 lb in)
5	Brake Pressure Modulator Valve (BPMV) Tip: DO NOT separate the BPMV from the electronic brake control module (EBCM) until out of the vehicle on a work bench.
6	EBCM to BPMV Screw (Qty: 4) Tighten: 3 N.m (27 lb in)
7	Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM) Tip: If equipped with a brake fluid pressure sensor, connect the electrical connector. Fill the brake master cylinder reservoir. Refer to Master Cylinder Reservoir Filling . Bleed the hydraulic brake system. Refer to Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Manual) or Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Pressure) . Perform the automated bleed procedure. Refer to Antilock Brake System Automated Bleed Procedure . Perform the system check - vehicle. Refer to Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle .
