Circuit/System Testing

- Ignition ON, observe the DTC information with the scan tool.
- Verify that none of the following DTCs are set, U0100-U0299. If any of the DTCs are set, refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List - Vehicle .
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the yaw rate and lateral acceleration sensor connector.
- Ignition OFF for 30 seconds, test for less than 15 ohms between the low reference circuit terminal 6 and ground.
- If greater than 15 ohms, test the low reference circuit for an open/high resistance. If the circuits test normal, replace the EBCM.
- Test the lateral accelerometer 12-volt ignition circuit terminal 1 for a short to voltage or ground.
- If all circuits test normal, replace the yaw rate sensor/lateral acceleration sensor, cycle the ignition switch and perform the yaw rate sensor recalibration procedure with the scan tool.
- If the DTC sets again after replacing the yaw rate sensor/lateral acceleration sensor, replace the EBCM.
