NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice . Fastener Tightening Specifications: Refer to Fastener Tightening Specifications . Preliminary Procedures Remove the driver seat. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket . Remove the left carpet retainer. Refer to Front Carpet Retainer Replacement . Remove the left lower center pillar molding. Refer to Center Pillar Lower Garnish Molding Replacement . Move the carpet back enough to gain access to the communication interface module battery.
1	Communication Interface Module Battery Nut (Qty: 3) Tighten: 10 N.m (89 lb in)
2	Communication Interface Module Battery Tip: Disconnect the electrical connector.

Preliminary Procedures

Remove the driver seat. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket .
Remove the left carpet retainer. Refer to Front Carpet Retainer Replacement .
Remove the left lower center pillar molding. Refer to Center Pillar Lower Garnish Molding Replacement .
Move the carpet back enough to gain access to the communication interface module battery.

Communication Interface Module Battery Nut (Qty: 3)

Tighten: 10 N.m (89 lb in)

Tip: Disconnect the electrical connector.
