Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2006 Pontiac Torrent and 2006 Chevrolet Equinox. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

  1. Connect the electrical connector to the ambient light sensor.
  2. Align the sensor to the upper trim pad and twist into place.

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  4. Align the upper trim pad to the I/P and fasten the bolts in place.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  5. Install the windshield garnish moldings. Refer to Windshield Upper Garnish Molding Replacement in Interior Trim.
  6. Install the I/P cluster trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Cluster in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.

  8. Install the access panel covers to the upper trim pad.
  9. Test the ambient light sensor for proper operation.
