Setup for Component Replacement

The replacement of some components will require a setup procedure for complete repair.

• If any of the following components are replaced, an idle learn procedure must be performed. Refer to the appropriate procedure:
  • Idle Learn for the 1.2L engine
  • Idle Learn for the 1.4L (L95) DOHC engine
  • Idle Learn for the 1.4L (LDT) DOHC engine
  • Idle Learn for the 1.5L engine
  • Idle Learn for the 1.6L (LXT) engine
    • Throttle body assembly
    • ECM
• If any of the following components are replaced, a CKP variation learn procedure must be performed. Refer to the appropriate procedure:
  • Crankshaft Position System Variation Learn for the 1.4L (L95) DOHC engine
  • Crankshaft Position System Variation Learn for the 1.4L (LDT) DOHC engine
  • Crankshaft Position System Variation Learn for the 1.5L engine
  • Crankshaft Position System Variation Learn for the 1.6L (LXT) engine
    • CKP sensor
    • Engine replacement
    • Any engine repair that disturbs the relationship between CKP sensor and the crankshaft reluctor wheel.
