Circuit/System Testing

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2010 Chevrolet Aveo. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the EBCM connector.
  2. Ignition ON, check for 11-14V between the B+ circuit and ground.
    • If the voltage is not as specified, test the B+ circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance.
  3. Test for less than 1 ohm between the ground circuits and ground.
    • If greater than the specified range, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the BPMV/EBCM.
