Abs Repair Precautions: Notes

Observe following precautions when performing repair operations outside of the ABS unit:

• Pull off plug on electronic control unit when welding with an arc welder.
• NEVER subject the electronic control unit to temperatures above 180°F (82°C) when painting a vehicle.
• Disconnect battery before charging with a fast charger. If battery has been removed, make sure wire terminals are tight on both connections after installation of battery. NEVER usea fast charger to start engine.
• NEVER disconnect or connect multiple pin plug on electronic control unit while ignition is on.
