Stoplight Switch

  1. Press on brake pedal. Digital display should be between 10-15 volts. A display of 0-.25 volts without operating pedal is normal. If readout is okay, go to PROGRAM SWITCH POSITION 23  .
  2. If there is no display, check stoplight switch including wires to switch and plugs, as well as wire from control unit plug terminal No. 25 to CEL plug S6. If display is less than 10 volts, eliminate contact resistance on both sides of plug and light connections or replace stoplight switch.
NOTE: The following tests require a Brake Test Bench (Chassis Dyno).
