Control module function: Coding

The coding can be both checked and changed in this menu item.

Procedure:

1. Using the Porsche System Tester II No. 9588, select menu item 'Coding'.
2. The Tester displays the current variant as follows:
   VEHICLE VARIANT REFERENCE
   
   

   Vehicle variant

   (e.g. 'RoW (PA1)')

   To change the coding, proceed as described as of step 3:

3. Start the coding process with the [>>] key.
4. The Tester displays the possible variants as follows:
   VEHICLE VARIANT REFERENCE
   
   

   Vehicle variant	(e.g. 'RoW (PA1)')
   'RoW (PA1)'
   'Taiwan/Korea (PA4)'

5. Select the correct variant with the and keys.
6. Start the coding process with the [F8] key 'Coding'.
7. Wait until 'Coding has been changed.' is displayed.
8. End process with the [<<] key.
