Information:
As from model '03 (3), the security code-card is no longer necessary. It has been deleted because the radio or PCM communicates to the vehicle electronics to determine if it should operate. This affects all vehicles which are delivered with the radio CDR23 or PCM2 equipment. Further information can be found in the Technical Manual and the Service Information Technik, Model 2003.
