Initializing Steering Angle Sensor

  1. Turn wheels to the straight ahead position. Start engine.
  2. From the straight-ahead position, turn the steering wheel about 20 degrees to the left, and then 20 degrees to the right (past the straight-ahead position).
  3. Drive the vehicle straight ahead for at least one second at a speed above 2.5 MPH.
  4. After initializing, the PSM indicator light should go out and fault codes are erased from memory.
