Initializing & Calibrating Steering Angle Sensor: Notes

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Porsche Cayenne and 2003 Porsche Cayenne. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
CAUTION: The steering angle sensor MUST be calibrated if the camber and toe-in values are changed. The steering angle sensor MUST be initialized whenever the battery is disconnected (PSM light on). Steering angle calibration requires using the Porsche System Tester (factory scan tool).
WARNING: Danger of injury may occur due to malfunctions in the Porsche Stability Management (PSM) control range if the steering angle sensor is not calibrated, or calibrated incorrectly.
