Fig. 3 Ignition switch tumbler removal:

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove steering wheel.
3. Remove the combination lighting-direction indicator switch shell.
4. Remove wiring junction plug.
5. Turn key to (G) ``garage'' position and remove key.
6. Remove retaining screw.
7. Push in retaining pin with a punch and push the switch out from behind.
8. Insert key and turn the key to the (S) ``stop'' position.
9. Remove key to free locking tumbler, Fig. 3.
10. Remove two screws on the rear of the switch.
11. Pull the switch apart.
12. Reverse procedure to install.
