900 Turbo

  1. Remove relay from relay panel. Relay panel is located under hood, on left side. Measure and record resistance between relay terminals No. 5 and 3 (Black and Red wires). Transpose ohmmeter leads, and measure resistance between same terminals. Replace relay if resistance is not high for one measurement and low for the other.
  2. Check for continuity between relay terminals No. 30 (Yellow wire) and No. 87B (Red wire). Replace relay if continuity exists.
  3. Check for continuity between relay terminals No. 30 (Yellow wire) and No. 87 (Green wire). Replace relay if continuity exists.
  4. Connect one lead of ohmmeter to terminal No. 30 (Yellow wire. Connect relay terminal No. 15 (Green/White wire) to battery voltage. Connect terminal No. 31 (Black wire) to ground.
  5. Momentarily, connect terminal No. 50 (Yellow wire) to battery voltage. Connect terminal No. 86 (Blue/White wire) to battery voltage. Relay should click in about 10 seconds.
  6. Connect remaining ohmmeter lead, in turn, to terminals No. 87B (Red wire) and No. 87 (Blue wire). Ohmmeter should indicate continuity at both terminals.
  7. Measure voltage between terminal No. 14 (Red/White wire) and ground. DVOM should indicate battery voltage.
  8. Measure voltage between terminal TK (Blue wire) and ground. DVOM should indicate battery voltage. Replace relay if voltage or resistance measurements are not as specified.
