Description & Operation
Vehicles are equipped with Supplemental Restraint System (SRS). SRS consists of air bag module, Electronic Control Unit (ECU) with safety sensor, clockspring, 2 front sensors and an SRS warning light in instrument cluster.
WARNING:
Vehicle is equipped with driver-side air bag. Use extreme caution while servicing steering column. Disconnect battery and wait at least 20 minutes before attempting any repair. To prevent inadvertent air bag deployment, DO NOT apply electrical power to any component on steering column without disconnecting air bag electronic control unit.
