Bleeding Brake System
NOTE:
ALWAYS use DOT 4 brake fluid. DO NOT use DOT 5 brake fluid. Front wheels MUST be bled first.
- Fill brake fluid reservoir. Position a hose with one end in a bottle with clean brake fluid and other end in master cylinder reservoir.
- Raise vehicle. Connect brake bleeder hose to left front wheel cylinder and open nipple. Remove about 3 ounces (0.1 L) of brake fluid. Repeat procedure at right front wheel. 3) Move brake bleeder hose to left rear wheel and open nipple. Remove about 1.5 ounces (.05 L) of brake fluid. Repeat procedure at right rear wheel. Lower vehicle and check brake operation.
