SET Function Check

Turn ignition on. Ensure battery voltage is present between ground and breakout box pins No. 1 and 2. Depress SET button. Ensure no voltage is present between ground and breakout box pin No. 3. If voltages are not to specification, disconnect cruise control switch. Ensure voltage is present between ground and switch connector terminal No. 4. If all voltages are to specification, go to step 3). If all voltages are not to specification, go to next step.
Turn ignition off. Disconnect cruise control switch connector. Measure resistance between load side of fuse No. 2 and switch connector terminal No. 4 (Red wire). If resistance is greater than one ohm, repair wiring. If resistance is not greater than one ohm, go to next step.
Hold switch in SET position. Measure resistance between switch terminals No. 1 and 4. Hold switch in RESUME position. Measure resistance between switch terminals No. 3 and 4. If any reading is greater than one ohm, replace switch. If resistance is less than one ohm, go to next step.
Disconnect battery. Measure resistance between switch connector and breakout box terminals. See CRUISE CONTROL FUNCTION SWITCH CONNECTOR/BREAKOUT BOX RESISTANCE . If any readings are greater than one ohm, repair wiring. If any readings are less than one ohm, replace cruise control module.
