Programming ECM

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1995 Saab 9000. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE: If power supply to Electronic Control Module (ECM) has been interrupted, system must be reprogrammed.

See CAUTION that follows. While driving vehicle on safe terrain, increase engine speed rapidly from 2000 RPM to 4500 RPM.

CAUTION: Because programming occurs at 2750-4500 RPM and requires 3 seconds to complete, perform procedure in a gear that permits operation between these engine speeds.
