To remove

  1. Remove the selector lever housing, see SELECTOR LEVER HOUSING .

    Remove the ignition switch lock cylinder, seeIGNITION SWITCH CYLINDER .

    IMPORTANT: When working on a dismantled selector lever housing, the selector lever should be protected with foam rubber or the like.
  2. Dismantle the selector lever casing, see SELECTOR LEVER CASING .
  3. Cut the cable tie holding the lead for the lighting button in place.

  5. Cut the cable tie securing the lead to the electromagnet (cars with ignition lock).
  6. Remove pins 5 and 6 to the electromagnet lead from the connector (cars with ignition lock).
  7. Remove the shift indicator display. Remove the screws securing the ignition switch.
  8. Drill out the rivets.
  9. Dismantle the selector lever housing.
  10. Remove the selector lever retaining bolt.

  12. Remove the selector lever with holder from the base plate.
  13. Tap out the spacer sleeve.
  14. Detach the selector lever from the holder.
  15. Remove the expanding pin securing the cable ferrule.

  16. Remove the clip from the locking pin.
  17. Withdraw the cable from the holder.
