Programming Transponders And Remote Controls

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Saab 9-3. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

When replacing the TWICE control module, 2 transponders (car keys) and 2 remote controls are supplier with the new control module and they are pre-programmed to suit the new control module. If more than 2 transponders (car keys) and/or remote controls are required, e.g. the old units, they can be programmed to suit the new control module. The control module must be taught to recognize them. A maximum of 4 transponders (car keys) and 4 remote controls can be programmed and used simultaneously.
