CD changer: Function
The CD changer is powered separately (+30) from fuse 9 to pin 6 in the CD changer connector.
When the audio system has been activated, the CD changer will read the "wake-up" information from the main unit on pins 5 and 11 on the bus. The CD changer is then activated (switched on).
The sound signal (line outputs) from the CD changer to the main unit is supplied via:
- pins 3 and 8 for the left-hand channel;
- pins 2 and 7 for the right-hand channel.
The CD changer functions are controlled by commands from the main unit via the bus.
Information is sent to the bus when the CD changer is active. SID reads the information and shows the status on the display.
