Theft Deterrent Exciter Module Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the lock cylinder. Refer to Ignition Switch Lock Cylinder Replacement (Removal and Replacement).
2. Use a small flat bladed tool to gently pry outward at the tabs (1, 2) to disengage the exciter module (3) from the key cylinder (4).
3. Remove the theft deterrent exciter module from ignition lock cylinder case assembly.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the theft deterrent exciter module (3) onto the ignition lock cylinder case assembly (4).
2. Install the lock cylinder. Refer to Ignition Switch Lock Cylinder Replacement (Removal and Replacement).
