Circuit/System Verification

  1. Perform the Transmitter Replacement procedure. Refer to REMOTE CONTROL DOOR LOCK  and THEFT DETERRENT TRANSMITTER PROGRAMMING .
  2. While viewing the scan tool BCM Key Part Number parameter, attempt to start the vehicle with each of the available vehicle transmitters by inserting the transmitter in the transmitter slot and pressing the ignition mode switch. The parameter should display a Key Part Number for each available transmitter.
  3. If any transmitter results in the parameter not reading a Key Part Number, replace the appropriate transmitter.
