Ignition System: Notes

All vehicles are equipped with a high energy ignition system capable of producing in excess of 50,000 volts. Vehicles except those using the Opti-Spark system (Corvette), C3I system (3.3L and 3.8L), IDI system (2.3L) or DIS (1.9L, 2.0L, 2.2L, 2.5L, 3.4L and some 3.1L) are equipped with a High Energy Ignition Electronic Spark Timing (HEI-EST) distributor.
