Install a new control valve body-to-spacer plate gasket onto spacer plate. Install control valve body assembly onto gasket. Hand start control valve body assembly bolts, to hold valve body in place. See Figure.
  3. Inspect TFP switch assembly in order to verify condition and correct location of pressure switch O-rings. If necessary, replace TFP switch assembly O-rings. Install TFP switch assembly onto control valve body assembly. Install remaining control valve body bolts. See Fig 2 and Fig 3 .
  4. NOTE: 1-2 shift solenoid wires are Red and Green and 2-3 shift solenoid wires are Red and Yellow.
  5. Hand start bolts. Tighten control valve body bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Connect transaxle wiring harness to following components:

    • TCC solenoid.
    • 1-2 shift solenoid.
    • 2-3 shift solenoid.

For shift solenoid identification, refer to illustration. See Figure.

  6. NOTE: If necessary, rotate oil pump shaft while installing oil pump assembly in order to engage shaft splines to splines on oil pump rotor.
  7. Install oil pump shaft into control valve body assembly. Install oil pump assembly onto oil pump shaft and control valve body. Install and hand start oil pump assembly bolts. See Figure. Tighten oil pump bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
