Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) are retrieved using a scan tool. Fault codes related to Electronic Variable Orifice (EVO) system are Powertrain Control Module (PCM) engine DTC(s) P0636 and P0637, which set when EVO circuit switches from low to high voltage.
