Ignition Module/PASSLOCK Sensor: Installation

  1. Use new shear bolts to install ignition module assembly on steering column. Torque shear bolts until heads break off.
  2. Install turn signal/headlamp lever, windshield washer lever, and passlock sensor connector.

  4. Install park lock solenoid. Tighten park lock solenoid screws to 1.5 N.m (14 in-lbs).

  6. Install ignition switch and reconnect ignition switch connector. Tighten ignition switch fasteners to 1.5 N.m (13 in-lbs).

  8. Install shroud fasteners and steering column lower shroud panel. Tighten steering wheel shroud fasteners to 3 N.m (27 in-lbs).

    NOTE: Actuator blade within ignition module housing must be in the RUN position to install lock cylinder assembly. If rotated, replace it to the RUN position using needle nose pliers.
  9. Insert key into ignition lock cylinder and install into ignition module.

  11. Install steering column upper shroud panel.
  12. Install lock cylinder bezel.
