The Electronic Brake Traction Control Module (EBTCM) has a dedicated Keyword 2000 (KW 2000) data link. This data link is only used for diagnostics/reprogramming. If the Scan tool cannot establish communications with the EBTCM, the fault could be caused by:

• KW2000 link from the DLC to the EBTCM is open, shorted to ground, or shorted to voltage.
• A fault in the EBTCM.
• Power/ground circuit fault to the EBTCM.
