Installation Procedure

Install the I/P compartment partially into the opening.
Secure the BCM to the I/P compartment slots
Install the BCM harness connectors.

Route the lamp wiring harness through the lamp opening and connect the wiring harness to the I/P compartment lamp.
Snap the lamp into the compartment bin.

NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.

Install the I/P compartment bin with fasteners.
Tighten: Tighten the fasteners to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in)
Install the I/P compartment door. Refer to Door Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Compartment in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.

Install the right side heater outlet to the I/P compartment bin using the retainers.

Install the closeout panel to the right side lower I/P using the retainers.
Operate the I/P compartment lamp and the I/P compartment door to ensure proper operation.
Program the BCM. Refer to Body Control Module (BCM) Programming/RPO Configuration .
