Installation Procedure

Slide the bracket onto the column.
Hand tighten the lower bolt until snug.
Hand tighten the upper bolt until snug.
NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE
Tighten the lower bolt.
Tighten

Tighten the bolt to 8 N.m (71 lb in).
Tighten the upper bolt.
Tighten

Tighten the bolt to 8 N.m (71 lb in).

Connect the ignition housing electrical connectors.

IMPORTANT: Ensure that both locking tabs are seated.
Install the multi-function levers.

Install the upper and lower shrouds. Refer to Steering Column Trim Cover Replacement .
Tighten

Tighten the shroud screws to 4 N.m (35 lb in).
Install the SIR coil. Refer to SIR COIL ASSEMBLY .
Install the steering wheel. Refer to Steering Wheel Replacement .
Connect the negative battery cable.
