Low Fuel Telltale

The ECM will send fuel level information over the CAN link to the BCM. If the fuel level is low, the BCM will send a message to the I/P cluster over the Class II link to turn On the Low Fuel telltale. The Low Fuel telltale will illuminate when approximately 7.9 liters (2.1 gallons) (maximum range is 4.9-11.4 liters [1.3-3 gallons]) of usable fuel remains in the tank.
