Camshaft Position Sensor: Service and Repair

CAMSHAFT POSITION (CMP) SENSOR

REMOVAL





1. Ignition Off.
2. Disconnect Camshaft Position (CMP) sensor harness connector.
3. Remove knock sensor 2 pigtail from attachment clip.
4. Remove CMP sensor attachment bolt and remove sensor.

INSTALLATION
1. Install knock sensor 2 pigtail clip to CMP sensor it installing new sensor.
2. Install CMP sensor and attachment bolt.
Torque:
Camshaft Position Sensor: 8 Nm (71 inch lbs.)
3. Insert knock sensor 2 pigtail to clip.
4. Connect CMP sensor harness connector. Push connector in until the lock position is felt, then pull back to confirm engagement.
