Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the outlet resonator/duct assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Resonator Outlet Duct Replacement .
  2. Cover the throttle body opening with a shop towel and use shop air to remove any dirt at the base of the throttle body.

  4. Disconnect the MAP sensor connector.
  5. Disconnect the throttle control connector at throttle body.

  7. Clamp off the hoses to avoid leaking coolant on engine.
  8. Remove the wiring harness bracket bolt from the throttle body.
  9. Remove the coolant hoses at throttle body (4).

  11. Remove the throttle body fasteners.
  12. Remove the throttle body.
  13. NOTE: Cover the intake manifold opening with a shop towel whenever the throttle body is removed to prevent foreign material entry.
  14. Block the intake manifold opening with a clean shop towel to prevent dirt from entering.
