Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor: Service and Repair

ACCELERATOR PEDAL WITH POSITION SENSOR REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the steering column filler panel. Steering Column Filler Replacement.
2. Disconnect the instrument panel (I/P) wiring harness electrical connector from the accelerator pedal position (APP) sensor.




3. Remove the accelerator pedal bolts.
4. Remove the accelerator pedal with sensor.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Position the accelerator pedal with sensor.
2. Install the accelerator pedal bolts.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice.

Tighten the bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).




3. Connect the I/P wiring harness electrical connector to the APP sensor.
4. Install the steering column filler panel. Steering Column Filler Replacement
