Installation Procedure

    Fig 1: View Of Generator Bracket Bolts

  1. Install the generator bracket.
    2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  2. Install the generator bracket bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts in sequence to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).

  3. Install the drive belt tensioner.
  4. Install the drive belt tensioner bolt.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolt to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).

  5. Install the drive belt idler pulley.
  6. Install the drive belt idler pulley bolt.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolt to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).

  7. Install the generator. Refer to Generator Replacement (LZ4)  or Generator Replacement (LY7) .
  8. Rotate the drive belt tensioner counterclockwise.
  9. Install the accessory drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .
  10. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (LAT)  or Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (LZ4/LY7) .
