Removal Procedure

- Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .
- Remove the passenger side rear assist handle. Refer to Assist Handle Replacement .
- Remove the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement .
- Remove the rear seat back. Refer to Rear Seat Back Replacement .
- Remove the rear passenger seat belt retractor (4). Refer to Rear Seat Belt Retractor Replacement .
- Remove the passenger side rear sail panel. Refer to Sail Panel Replacement .
- Carefully pull the upper center trim panel inward in order to allow clearance for the headliner.
- Carefully pull the passenger side of the headliner downward in order to release the center and rearward headliner roof magnets.
- Reach inward between the headliner and roof panel in order to release the sunroof control module clip (3) securing the control module (1) to the sunroof module assembly (2).
- With the clip (3) depressed, slide the control module toward the sunroof motor/actuator.
- Disconnect the electrical connectors.
- Remove the sunroof control module from the vehicle.

Release the passenger side center pillar trim garnish molding upper retainer.
