Compressor Clutch Coil: Service and Repair

Air Conditioning Clutch Coil Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the compressor. Refer to Air Conditioning Compressor Replacement (Service and Repair).
2. Remove the compressor pulley. Refer to Air Conditioning Compressor Pulley Replacement (Service and Repair).




3. Remove the clutch coil.

* Release the wiring harness for clutch coil of compressor (2).
* Remove the bolt.
* Remove the retaining ring (1).
* Remove the clutch coil off compressor.

Installation Procedure





Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

Note: When installing the compressor clutch coil, ensure correct seating of detent.

1. Install the clutch coil.

1. Position the clutch coil.
2. Insert the retaining ring.
3. Connect the wiring harness.

Tighten the bolt to 4 Nm (35 lb in).

2. Install the compressor pulley. Refer to Air Conditioning Compressor Pulley Replacement (Service and Repair).
3. Install the compressor. Refer to Air Conditioning Compressor Replacement (Service and Repair).
