Installation Procedure

  1. Slide the ECM into the bracket on the battery tray.
  2. Push down on the ECM until the retaining tab snaps into place.

  3. Connect the engine wiring harness electrical connectors (1) to the ECM.
  4. Slide the lever locks to the down position in order to engage the engine wiring harness electrical connectors.
  5. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (LAT) or Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (LZ4, LY7, and LE5) .
  6. If a NEW ECM was installed, program the ECM. Refer to Control Module References .
